
Live news updates: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday he will include two BJP lawmakers in his cabinet tomorrow, reshuffling his cabinet for the first after taking charge of the state May last year.
“The oath-taking ceremony will be held at Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium in Guwahati on Thursday at around 3 pm. Two MLAs from BJP will take oath as ministers,” said Sarma, ANI reported. The news agency said Sarma could reshuffle his ministry.
The Central government has increased the minimum support price (MSP) for 17 kharif crops to keep its commitment to farmers, said a minister on Wednesday.
The MSP for paddy is up Rs 100 to Rs 2,040 per quintal for 2022-23 crop year. Moong MSP is up by Rs 480 and Urad by Rs 300, said I&B Minister Anurag Thakur.
